An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with one of the fastest growing healthy snacking companies in the UK for a Grocery National Account Manager working on Waitrose, Asda & Booths. This role will report to the Head of Grocery and you will be a key member of the small Grocery team. You will be responsible for the accounts in full from annual customer plans, budget, through to execution in store.
Key focus areas of the role itself and where you will spend the majority of your time:
- Full Management of Waitrose, Asda & Booths on a day to day basis, to include budget planning, P&L, range review proposals, joint business plans, supporting with new line listings, delivering the promotional plan, working with supply chain on ensuring all ranged stores have stock, highlighting and addressing gaps, ensuring all products are correctly positioned and tagged online, forecasting, use of retailer systems and on-going promotional review.
- You will attend external customer meetings and build a network of key contacts within the account base from supply chain, formats, merchandising, promotional planning, admin and the buyer. You will be expected to get out to store on a regular basis to ensure activity is happening and to review the competitor set.
- You will also work with the category team to develop and optimise existing ranges and engaging sell-in stories for new products.
- You will be working closely with the Shopper Marketing team to agree media spend and strategy in line with the above the line marketing plans
- Your role is key in supporting the grocery team in delivering the annual plans.
- Working with a small team you will work across all business functions, operations, finance, marketing, customer service and NPD to deliver key grocery targets.

- Educated to degree level
- 2+ years Account Management Experience dealing with FMCG buyers
- Results orientated and able to deliver account/channel targets
- Numerate, understanding of P&L’s and margins with good attention to detail
- Strong selling skills to win/influence buyers and internal teams
- Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for health and well being
- Strong team player
