This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing company and to put your entrepreneurial skills to the test. As the Demand Planner, you will:
- Collecting data from internal and external sources on factors known to affect demand.
- Analysing sales, stock and other data statistics.
- Reviewing historical sales trends.
- Modelling the data to forecast future demand.
- Obtaining information on occurrences that could impact demand like promotions and production delays.
- Gathering updates on vendors, distributors, sales and other stakeholders that can affect demand.
- Developing demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons.
- Coordinating cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances.
- Interacting with sales, marketing and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
- Using and maintaining the demand planning software.
- Providing input to the supply planning organisation in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products and product phase-outs.
- Refining systems and methods to improve forecast in order to better anticipate customer needs.
Are you someone who has a flair for numbers and data, with the ability to hit deadlines, prioritise your time whilst working collaboratively with other functions?
Our Supply Chain team have a passion in ensuring customer satisfaction, whilst pushing and maintain efficiency.
Alongside living our TOP values, we are looking for someone with:
- Passion: You have a drive for numbers and data, a flair in making predictions on previous historic trends, making a better outcome for the future.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, as well as high level exposure to forecasting tools.
- Experience: 2 years’ experience, preferably in FMCG, or retail industries.
- Collaborative Spirit: A friendly, proactive and positive attitude, with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. The ability to speak confidently with other business functions such as sales to ensure information is relayed and translated.
- Organization Skills: Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. Hitting deadlines doesn’t scare you.
