HR Analyst

The HR Analyst is a key HR professional responsible for ensuring operational excellence in payroll, benefits, compliance, systems administration, and HR reporting. This role owns critical HR processes while also providing insights and recommendations that drive efficiency and compliance.   

 With a blend of technical expertise and analytical skills, the HR Analyst partners with the HR Director to implement best practices, optimize HR systems, and contribute to workforce strategy at our North Carolina manufacturing facility. 

 

Payroll, Benefits, and Compliance 

  • Own the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring complete, timely, and accurate biweekly payroll. 
  • Maintain and monitor the time management system, verifying that all timesheets are accurate, complete, and approved. 
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies. 
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, billing reconciliation, and employee inquiries. 
  • Administer leave management programs in compliance with FMLA, ADA, disability, and sick leave regulations. 
  • File and follow up on Workers’ Compensation claims to ensure timely resolution. 
  • Provide a quarterly review of payroll systems with insights and recommendations to optimize processes. 
  • Lead compliance tracking for new or updated state/federal labor regulations and recommend policy updates. 

Reporting & Analysis 

  • Create and distribute payroll and HR reports including hours reports and month-end accounting allocation 
  • Generate and present monthly ESG reports. 
  • Provide monthly reports with insights on retention, overtime, and other workforce trends. 
  • Spearhead the absenteeism program, ensuring best practices with accurate data reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Partner with Finance on labor cost reporting and workforce analytics. 
  • Prepare HR reports that provide actionable insights on recruiting, retention, turnover, and engagement. 
  • Analyze HR and workforce data to support change initiatives in partnership with the HR Director. 
  • Build workforce planning models (shifts, overtime reduction, headcount projections). 

Systems Administration 

  • Onboard all staff and temp hires into HRIS and MyLotus ensuring systems are aligned and all data is synchronized across platforms. 
  • Maintain accurate HRIS and MyLotus records for employee changes and terminations. 
  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the HR training app, ensuring all data remains current. 
  • Conduct monthly audits to ensure accuracy across all HR systems. 
  • Support the HR Director in rolling out new HR technology programs, including Learning Management Systems (LMS). 
  • Serve as super-user and key point of contact for employees, driving employee adoption. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 
    3–5 years of progressive HR, payroll, or HRIS experience; manufacturing or multi-shift environment experience strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in payroll administration, benefits programs, and compliance with FMLA, ADA, and other employment regulations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP, ADP, UKG, or equivalent) and timekeeping systems.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience turning data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
