Corporate Buyer Raw & Packaging Materials US
As Corporate Buyer, you are responsible for the strategic and operational procurement of Raw Materials and Packaging for our Mebane plant. You will manage supplier portfolios, develop sourcing strategies, and ensure supply continuity in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and global teams. You are part of the Corporate Procurement Team and will act as a trusted partner for the manufacturing team in our factory in Mebane, where this role is based.
- You establish, streamline and implement the Lotus Bakeries purchase strategy (procedures, guidelines, tools, responsibilities, KPI’s, …) for the procurement of raw materials and packaging portfolios.
- You analise market information and incorporate into sourcing stratecy with the effective execution of the strategy and follow commercial compliance.
- You initiate and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure good, reliable sources of supply and information.
- You manage the supplier portfolio per category taking quality, contingency, sustainability and price competitiveness into consideration.
- You conclude and negotiate framework contracts where you balance quality, supply reliability and costs.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Quality, R&D, Planning, Logistics, Production and Procurement colleagues on existing product development (EPD) and new product development (NPD) activities.
To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:
- A University degree, Master of a certain economics degree, combined with 5-7 years of experience in strategic procurement and sourcing negotiations (Raw Materials and Packaging Materials), preferably in FMCG

- Be able to think out of the box, entrepreneur, proactive, hands-on, reliable with good project management skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- A global mindset in both attitude and communication (English is key)
- A strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook, experience in SAP is considered a plus.
- A good understaning of FMCG business operations, market dynamics and regulatory environments.
