As an Import & Export Coordinator at Lotus Bakeries, you play a key role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods across international markets. You coordinate import and export shipments, manage customs processes, and work closely with logistics partners, internal stakeholders, and customs authorities.

As part of the Import & Export team you will:

• Coordinate and manage international import and export shipments across multiple transport modes (ocean, road, air, and multimodal), ensuring timely delivery while optimizing logistics flows to balance service, cost, and operational requirements.
  
• Prepare and submit import and export customs declarations in-house or in collaboration with customs brokers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations. Manage communication with local customs authorities and internal compliance teams to facilitate efficient customs clearance and the timely resolution of customs-related issues.
  
• Monitor transport performance and proactively resolve issues such as delays, demurrage, detention, and other operational disruptions.
  
• Maintain accurate shipping and customs documentation and follow up on discrepancies or corrective actions when needed.
  
• Ensure accurate data entry and management across logistics and customs systems, including master data maintenance and customs decision tables in CAS, while safeguarding data quality, integrity, and compliance.
  
• Act as the key operational contact for shipment-related questions and escalations and support the implementation of new logistics and customs processes.

• You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transport, Customs, or a related field.
  
• A (first) experience with international freight flows and customs formalities has given you a good understanding of ocean, road, and air transport.
  
• With your strong organizational and communication skills in both Dutch & English, you are able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining an accurate and detail-oriented approach.
  
• Working independently comes naturally to you, while you also enjoy collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  
• A proactive, hands-on, and customer-focused mindset helps you adapt to changing priorities and remain effective under pressure.
  
• You are comfortable working with Microsoft Office, and experience with SAP S/4 or customs systems is considered a plus.
  
• Your genuine interest in international supply chain, trade, and customs motivates you to continuously learn and develop in this field.
