In this role you lead and coach the General Ledger Accounting Team within the Group Accounting Center, ensuring a strong and collaborative accounting environment. As a hands-on accounting manager, you support your team with technical expertise while safeguarding accurate financial reporting and continuously improving accounting processes across multiple international entities.

• We count on you to lead, coach and further develop the General Ledger team of 9 people within the Global Accounting Center.
• As a hands-on manager, you support your team in complex accounting topics and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end closings.
• You take ownership of the Record-to-Report process and safeguard compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements as defined by Group Finance.
• Together with Group Finance and local finance teams, you ensure clear and consistent reporting and strong collaboration across the different entities.
• You continuously look for opportunities to improve and standardize accounting processes and drive automation initiatives within the accounting environment.
• You report to the Group Director Shared Services.

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

• A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• We expect you to have around 8–10 years of experience in audit or accounting roles within medium to large companies in an international environment.
• You have technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and local GAAP.
• Experience with ERP systems is required (SAP is a strong plus), combined with an excellent knowledge of Excel.
• Ideally you already have some experience in coaching or leading a small team.
• You are KPI-driven, structured and able to navigate in an international corporate environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you work closely with various stakeholders across Finance.
• Fluency in Dutch and English is required; French is a plus.
