GL Accountant
As a General Ledger Accountant, you are responsible for managing the accounting of several international entities. You ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data and work closely with various stakeholders in an international context.
Within the Finance team of Lotus Bakeries, you play a crucial role as a GL Accountant within the Shared Service Center.
- You are responsible for managing and executing the monthly financial closing process for several Lotus Bakeries entities.
- You process accounting transactions such as provisions, intercompany invoicing, inventory revaluation, closing of production orders, depreciation, payroll, and fixed assets, and you also prepare the annual financial statements.
- You work closely with various stakeholders (including the Accounting team, Consolidation, Controllers for the Sales Offices, Country Managers, etc.) and provide them with the necessary support based on your expertise.
- You act as the point of contact for external authorities regarding audits and tax inspections.
- You ensure that all accounting activities within the Shared Service Center comply with internal and external accounting, tax, and legal requirements at all times.

Here’s what we expect from you:
- You hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance or Economics and have built up 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- You work independently, have a strong eye for detail, and demonstrate flexibility when needed. You take initiative and have a hands-on mentality.
- You communicate clearly and effectively in English. Dutch is a great advantage.
- You are proficient in Excel. Experience with an ERP system is not required—we provide full training to help you work efficiently with SAP.
- No prior experience with international entities? No problem — we’ll guide you through it and help you build this knowledge step by step.
