Accounting & Reporting Manager
Accounting & Reporting Manager responsible for leading and overseeing all finance, accounting, tax, and BOI activities for our Thailand entities. This position reports to the Finance & Supply Chain Director. In addition, the role provides strategic support on finance and BOI matters for the Asia Factory project, acting as a key partner and the right hand to the Finance & Supply Chain Director.
1. Financial Accounting and Reporting:
- Ensure all accounting is executed properly and timely and in compliance with local GAAP for the Thai entities;
- Ensure complete and accurate BS, PL, TB and sub-ledger and ensure month-end balance sheet file is in place including account reconciliations;
- Ensure complete and timely completion of group reporting (in IFRS) on a monthly basis including MAR report and disclosure reporting to HQ, including communication with the Corporate Controlling team in HQ (Belgium)
- Responsible for planning/preparation of annual statutory accounts and ensure all is conform local GAAP and in compliance with local laws and regulations;
- Responsible for communication with internal and external auditors;
- Any other ad-hoc task from line manager
2. Board of Investment (BOI)
- Be the first point of contact within the company for the BOI related matters with a strong relationship with the relevant people of the BOI (and EEC and IBC if applicable);
- Develop strategies and plans in order to gain and build relationships with key governmental officials, in order to get further privileges and/or apply for new projects with specific privileges.
- Ensure timely and complete submission of BOI applications/amendments/registrations;
- Ensure compliance with BOI regulations and specific conditions as set out in the BOI Promotion certificate
- Ensure timely reporting on all BOI projects at company level.
3. Tax
- Responsible for all tax related matters in Thailand and compliance with local regulation plus any communication with local tax authorities.
- Ensure complete and timely preparation/submission all VAT and withholding tax filings;
- Ensure complete and timely preparation/submission of CIT filings/inspections
- Responsible for any tax related topics with respect to Project New Asia Factory.
4. Cash Flow/Treasury/Internal control/Other:
- Ensure cash flow forecast is prepared on a monthly basis providing insights in future cash requirements
- Liase with HQ in terms of all treasury related matters
- Ensure adequate internal controls measures are in place in the areas of responsibility.
- Support on any ad-hoc finance projects and/or process improvements projects.
5. Legal matters and contract register
- Ensure all company legal documentation (corporate housekeeping) and company/business certifications are kept up-to-date and filed in secure place;
- Ensure annual BOD and Shareholder meeting related documents are prepared and executed on time (follow group legal time line).
- Ensure Group contract register is kept up-to-date by the Project/Thailand team and local team follows the SOP on contract registration.
Education (degree):
- Bachelor degree in Finance
- Master degree in Finance/Economics is a pre
Specific knowledge:
- Excellent knowledge of Excel
- Experience with SAP
Experience:
- Min. 10 years of experience in Finance
- Has experience in building and coaching teams.
- Understanding of the finance practices in Thailand (local knowledge) = must
Language:
- Fluent in Thai (both verbally and in writing)
- Fluent in English (both verbally and in writing)
